Alyko Beach is situated amidst a cedar/juniper forest, providing a natural shade and a peaceful retreat from the sun. The combination of the forest and the beach is a unique and rare sight in the Cycladic landscapes. The beach boasts of crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft, golden sand. The waters are generally calm and shallow, making it an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing.

Visitors need to bring their own equipment as there are no sunbeds and umbrellas available. A short exploration of the nearby coves and rock formations can add an adventurous touch to the visit. Alyko Beach faces south, making it an ideal destination for days with strong north winds. Although there are no taverns, cafeterias and bars on the beach, visitors can easily find them within a short ride of 1-4 km. The beach is accessible by car with a parking area nearby. Local buses are available a few times a day for visitors to access the beach.
